Affordable Dental Care

We don’t want any patient to be put-off receiving the dental care and attention they need over fears of expense. We offer several options to make sure your financial arrangements are as comfortable as your treatment. These include payments in instalments, a 5% discount for fees paid in advance and discounts on all our treatment fees for patients who join the Avenue Road Dental Practice Budgeting Plan.

We carry out thorough examinations so that you know precisely what treatments may be necessary, and how much they will cost before starting.

Every patient receives a written treatment plan and cost estimate after their consultation.

Avenue Road Dental Practice Budgeting Plan

You can become a Registered Patient of our practice by joining the Avenue Road Dental Plan and enjoy the peace of mind of receiving regular check-ups, hygiene appointments and a substantial discount on treatment fees.

Membership of the plan includes:

  • Membership Card confirming Registration with the practice.
  • Up to 2 Examination appointments each year.
  • Examinations for the early detection of mouth cancer.
  • Up to 2 Simple Cleaning/Hygiene appointments each year.
  • All Clinical Photographs taken at the practice.
  • All small x-rays taken at the practice.
  • Up to 2 fluoride treatments each year when clinically indicated.
  • Treatment for tooth sensitivity.
  • A 5% discount on all additional treatments carried out at the practice. (Excluding laboratory costs and retail products).
  • Worldwide dental Accident and Emergency Insurance.

In addition to these benefits, plan members receive regular information about services and treatments offered at the practice. Other practice discounts may be used in conjunction with the plan – for example, a further 5% discount for patients paying the total cost of their treatment in advance.

Joining the plan:

Any patient who has completed a New Patient Examination and initial course of treatment is eligible to join the plan. Joining is easy. You simply need to complete our registration form and a Direct Debit & authorisation form for DPAS, the plan administrators. Monthly payments of £22.50 per person cover all the benefits described. A one-off joining fee of £10.00 per person payable direct to DPAS will be collected with your first direct debit payment. You can cancel your registration at any time by informing the practice and DPAS.

Methods of Payment

We are pleased to accept payment by cash, cheque (supported by cheque guarantee card) or major debit and credit cards.

In addition, we can arrange up to 12 months interest-free credit on amounts over £300.00 (subject to status) and longer periods attracting interest. (Rates vary – ask for details).

Terms:

Patients paying the full estimated cost of treatment before the first treatment appointment enjoy a 5% discount.

Other patients are asked to pay for treatment as it is provided. When we reserve appointments for treatment we may ask for a reservation deposit in advance. This deposit is returned as long as the appointment is attended. Treatment involving laboratory costs may also attract a deposit.

Failed Appointments and Appointments Cancelled at Short Notice:

We try to take a sympathetic view if appointments are unavoidably cancelled through illness or other unforeseen crises. Generally we ask for at least 1 working day’s notice of cancellation to avoid charges being raised. Appointments failed or cancelled at short notice without good reason will result in either a loss of deposit or a charge (currently £100.00 per hour pro rate of time lost). On payment of this charge and an appropriate deposit we will be happy to arrange further appointments

Practice Registration:

All patients who subscribe to the Avenue Road Dental Practice Budgeting Plan  are registered patients of the practice entitled to world-wide accident and emergency treatment for as long as their membership continues.

Other patients who attend the practice without joining a plan receive temporary registration with more limited benefits for 13 months following their examination. If a patient does not attend for a further examination again within this period their temporary registration may be terminated.
