Methods of Payment
We are pleased to accept payment by cash, cheque (supported by cheque guarantee card) or major debit and credit cards.
In addition, we can arrange up to 12 months interest-free credit on amounts over £300.00 (subject to status) and longer periods attracting interest. (Rates vary – ask for details).
Terms:
Patients paying the full estimated cost of treatment before the first treatment appointment enjoy a 5% discount.
Other patients are asked to pay for treatment as it is provided. When we reserve appointments for treatment we may ask for a reservation deposit in advance. This deposit is returned as long as the appointment is attended. Treatment involving laboratory costs may also attract a deposit.
Failed Appointments and Appointments Cancelled at Short Notice:
We try to take a sympathetic view if appointments are unavoidably cancelled through illness or other unforeseen crises. Generally we ask for at least 1 working day’s notice of cancellation to avoid charges being raised. Appointments failed or cancelled at short notice without good reason will result in either a loss of deposit or a charge (currently £100.00 per hour pro rate of time lost). On payment of this charge and an appropriate deposit we will be happy to arrange further appointments
Practice Registration:
All patients who subscribe to the Avenue Road Dental Practice Budgeting Plan are registered patients of the practice entitled to world-wide accident and emergency treatment for as long as their membership continues.
Other patients who attend the practice without joining a plan receive temporary registration with more limited benefits for 13 months following their examination. If a patient does not attend for a further examination again within this period their temporary registration may be terminated.
